Now, meet Vance.

“It’s simple. I love my job. But when I’m not in the office, you can most likely find me hanging out with my wonderful wife, Amy, and our awesome kiddos, Charlotte, Adeline and Thomas. Oh, and I would be in hot water with the little ones if I didn’t add in our 40-pound teddy bear of a golden doodle, Dixie (who somehow has taken over my role as head of the house : )

I am also a bona fide golf addict. Give me a good buddy, an early morning tee time and a hot putter, and I am in heaven. And now that my son, Thomas, is begging to hit the links with ol’ dad, it just made my golf addiction that much better. Give him a couple of years, and he’ll be showing me a thing or two (insert proud dad smile here).

As for other sports, I am a huge Baylor Bear (especially when they’re winning), Houston Texans and Texas Rangers fan. However, my biggest role as a fan is for Amy’s unbelievable chocolate pie. It’s the kind you eat by the pan, not the slice. Which in fact is a great segue into my other hobby: running (after a couple pans of pie, it’s more of a necessity). I also really enjoy the men’s fellowship (Quest) on Tuesday mornings at The Woodlands United Methodist church. Rob Renfroe is an outstanding leader and really gives me a boost for the rest of the week. My family and I have been so blessed to be members of this awesome church.

One more thing about myself, after dental school, I did a dental hospital residency in Houston and then practiced general dentistry for a year in The Houston Medical Center. I think this experience has helped set me apart from other orthodontists. I really enjoy treating multidisciplinary cases with restorative dentists and other dental specialists. From my youngest to my oldest patient, the experience that each unique case presents is what continues to drive me—day in and day out. Did I mention that I love my job?” — Dr. Vance LeCrone
